Everything about this piece was about making something out of nothing.
My cats ripped through this canvas. I could have considered it destroyed.
I had pretty shirts I just never wore anymore. I could have gotten rid of them.
I had tubes of oil paint I didn’t know if they were good anymore. I “tested” every color on the canvas when I could have just tested on a throwaway paper.
I had beads that my great-aunt surely had plans for, but she passed away in 2016. I could have just tossed them.
Instead, I used it all to create this beautifully textured work of art!
